from what i know... a W is always better than an F... as long as it shows that you retook the class and you did well in it

It is better to drop the class than to fail. If you fail, you have to retake the class. But a W is almost as bad when transferring. You have to go back and retake those classes also, to show you can commit to school.

I think to drop and get a W is better because it doesn't effect your GPA, I got an F and it definitely effected my GPA.

I think drop it is better.  If you retake it, you might get a A or B.  I dropped one class because it is B, but I want a A.

i prefer to drop before deadline. if too late then talk to your instructor to help u understand better why you are struggle with something. to get better grade!

I had to crash course myself through my first semester. I did not know anything about dropping classes or W's.

I hear its better to drop the class for the sake of our gpa but I personally hate dropping classes so I stick around and take it again for a better grade.

Drop! A "W" doesn't really mean anything unless you have a crap load of them on your transcript. But failing drops your GPA and is just bad...

Drop.  An F is the worst.  If you get a W it can be explained away way easier than an F.

If you fail you can have the grade removed if you take 20 something credits after the failed class and have a high enough GPA.

well, if you plan on taking that class again and getting a better grade, just fail it, but don't get a c

Neither. If you drop and fail it looks bad when you go to transfer. You will need to take classes to help improve your GPA.
