I find that the counselors at RCC are not very helpful in this area. I've gone to MOST of the counselors and they just chase their tails - or send me chasing  my tail. In the Homeroom there is Mrs.Lopez and she has been pretty helpful.

Has anyone else had this experience? Where are you heading and why?

I, too, have found that RCC counselors aren't very helpful in helping you figure out what you have exactly accomplished so far and what you still need to accomplish to graduate and/or transfer. It's doable yourself though. Use assist.org and have your unofficial transcript open via Webadvisor on another Internet window, so you can see what you've done so far. Also, look at websites of the school(s) you want to go to and find the link to the degree(s) you're going for. I think contacting a counselor from that school would help a lot, too.

Yea, I've been doing my own counselling work  (and for a couple of my friends) - I just can't wait to be out of Riverside.

i think that if people focused on their studies instead of parties they would finish faster.
