Giving presentations to class
« on: November 05, 2013, 09:30:52 PM »
I have grown to like it, especially after taking public speaking. It is one of the most valuable skills you can learn in college. What is so terrifying about public speaking?

I have a presentation coming up in another class soon and I'm dreading it. I don't know exactly what it is that makes it so scary.

I delivered a presentation today (11/05/13/) which I also was dreading. After doing it, though, I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. Then, I questioned myself for having to dread it in the first place. It actually is fun. You should finish preparing as soon as you can.

Having confidence in yourself, being prepared with the info and knowing the info would make it less scary.

Yes, I am definitely looking forward to that feeling of relief when it's all over with. I've been preparing since the semester started, that's how scared I am, haha. Glad to hear that yours went well!

I have a fear of not being able to project my voice, which I can't

This suck if you are not prepared. I took a speech class and man that class taught me the importance of being prepared.
